We will send your new pup or kitten
a reminder card in the post indicating that the six month adolescent
health check is due. This health check consists of a consultation with
a veterinary surgeon. In the young growing pup or kitten there are many
important changes occuring in your pet’s life. A thorough health
examination gives the vet a very good opportunity to assess you pet's
progress and growth in many areas such as growth, development of teeth,
behaviour problems, diet, vaccination, flea control and worming.
A six-month adolescent health check is an ideal opportunity for you to
discuss any queries you may have with us. Early detection of some
conditions are very important because if picked up early enough and the
correct action taken, future problems can often be avoided. An
adolescent health check also is the ideal time to discuss neutering or contraception of
your pet or explain all about letting your puppy or kitten have offspring later in their life.
