Physiotherapy for humans is a well recognised discipline. Physiotherapy for animals requires further training and additional skills. We are pleased to be able to offer consultations with Rachel Martel. Rachel is a chartered physiotherapist, trained in London.
After
gaining postgraduate experience in hospitals and sports injury clinics,
Rachel decided to concentrate her skills in the animal field. In 2002 Rachel
qualified from the Royal Veterinary College with an MSc in Veterinary
Physiotherapy and is a Category A member of ACPAT. Rachel has
experience in treating all types of pets and equines.
Physio is helpful in acute or chronic
musculoskeletal problems as well as
aiding recovery from various types of trauma such as road traffic accidents and
many types of orthopaedic surgery.
Please speak to one of our veterinary surgeons if you think your pet could benefit from physiotherapy.
