Our veterinary practice has a dedicated special diagnostic procedures room. In this area we undertake a range of specialised diagnostic investigations including digital x-radiography which allows electronic storage and manipulation of x-ray images that provides a significantly improved ability to reach a diagnosis.

We have a sophisticated diagnostic ultrasound scanner that allows viewing of heart valves, blood flow, inside the liver and kidneys as well as more standard procedures such as pregnancy diagnosis. Ultrasound diagnosis is non-invasive and safe and can often be done with only a light sedative. Electrocardiography (ECG) is a complementary procedure to ultrasonography.

Fibre-optic technology or endoscopy allows us to view the inside of many body cavities. We have a range of different sizes of scopes that allow examination of many body cavities such as the nose, stomach, windpipe, lungs and bladder. Samples of infected or damaged tissue can be taken without resorting to surgery to assist in diagnosis.
Our new well equipped state-of-the-art laborotary enables us to run a wide range of diagnostic tests including haematology, biochemistry and antibody tests on blood samples. By performing these tests in-house rather than sending them to the UK, we are able to give you accurate results within 24 hours or sometimes within hours.
