Work on Guernsey’s first veterinary hospital is progressing well – we are on track to open our new branch in January 2027!

The purpose-built development has already reached a major milestone, as the site has been granted veterinary hospital status by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

Our new premises will support our branches in Route Isabelle and L’Islet, and allow us to offer a complete in-house service, including:

• 24-hour care for pets and horses.
• Modern facilities.
• A complete in-house service, reducing the need for you to travel to the mainland for veterinary care.
• A visiting equine specialist service for more complex care.

The hospital will build on the rich history of our practice, while creating a facility designed to meet the needs of the island’s pets, horses, owners and veterinary team for years to come.

Facilities at our new hospital will include:

• Six consulting rooms.
• Three operating theatres.
• Separate waiting areas and isolation facilities for cats and dogs.
• 13 kennels and a 16-space cattery.
• A CT scanner.
• Dental and x-ray facilities.
• An onsite pharmacy.
• Parking for clients and horse boxes.
• A dedicated equine facility, including an operating theatre.

We also have an allocated space for an MRI scanner, with the potential to become the first MRI facility on the island for veterinary use.
