The facilities and care in our Practice reflect the ever increasing expectation that you have regarding the treatment of your pet since 1919.
At Isabelle Vets, you will be greeted by attentive receptionists; your pet will be examined by highly skilled Veterinary Surgeons and then looked after by caring Veterinary Nurses, to guarantee the best service, care, diagnosis and treatment possible in Guernsey, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Full case records are kept on our central servers so that every visit builds up a medical history for your pet. Our systems at the Route Isabelle surgery are network linked to our second surgery at L’Islet so that current records are always at hand, no matter which surgery you visit, to assist in delivering the best care, diagnosis and treatment of your pet.
In early 2026, we will start work on a brand new 24-hour site at Garenne Park, St Sampson.
We have dreamt of developing the island’s first ever veterinary hospital for many years, and are thrilled to be making this longtime ambition a reality!
Our practice plans to apply to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons for RCVS Veterinary Hospital accreditation once the work has been completed.
With visiting equine specialists working onsite, horse owners will no longer need to transport their horses to the mainland via ferry.
Facilities will include six consulting rooms, four operating theatres, separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs, 13 kennels, a 20-space cattery, a dental room, a CT scanner, x-ray facilities and an onsite pharmacy.
There will also be a large car park for clients and room to manoeuvre horse boxes, as well an area for lameness boxes.
If you would like to learn more about our new hospital, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.

Much of our equipment, for veterinary diagnostics, is as sophisticated as that of a medical hospital and again centrally networked to our servers. Our operating theatre is fully equipped, and our highly qualified surgeons are ready to administer immediate treatment. We also have a Special Procedures room with computerised digital x-radiography, ultrasound scanner and endoscopy equipment, as well as a bespoke dental suite. Our diagnostic laboratory can cope with most common blood, skin, urine and other tests with results usually available within hours, rather than having to send samples away to a commercial laboratory with the inevitable delay that is involved. Individual dog and cat wards minimise stress, maximises health and care.
Our new L’Islet surgery is equipped with a state-of-the-art C.T. Scanning unit and also a veterinary hydrotherapy/rehabilitation unit.
